Hw requirements are higher compared to NTR83 hardware.
Have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XBMC#Hardware_requirements
Not possible.
Xbmc has a lot of features, maybe even too much, and the GUI is not so user friendly.
:nonono:
uh.
but it would be nice... right?
Right but a redesign of the GUI should be usefull to use it as media box controlled by a remote control. Maybe @stedrum could write us his impressions and experience of use in its homemade htpc.
Porting xbmc to realtek's processors never will be possibile until realtek relases full datasheet , driver and full informations about hardware.
I made an htpc with a asrock e350m1 motherboard and then installed "openelec"(OS based on xbmc).
My first impression is good; but xbmc isn't easier to configure and you can control it all by remote(ir,wifi,bluetooth..).
However it has a lot of addon and it is completely open-source.
Right now I have opera web browser, epsxe, many movie scrapers and much more installed :D
Well I have to say, that I'am also using XBMC on my HTPC, but the only problem is that running comp is so loud, and takes tame to boot.
I have tried Boxee, Windows media center, and other HTPC user interfaces, but XBMC is the best. The good thing is that is open sourced.
Hoping that some day we'll see XBMC on IAMM:ya:
great job guys!
You can try OpenELEC - The living room PC for everyone is faster linux distribution with XBMC in your HTPC
Sure will give a try
Thanks
