Which firmware do you try to upgrade? Where did you downlaod it?
How you can try to upgrade? From System menu or with forced update?
Before to upgrade you should always check your device pressing PLAY/STOP on remote control to see the bootcode/firmware version
The HMR600 is available in two revision.
1. revision - single tuner - Final SR10 in the firmware file name
2. revision - double tuner - Final SR30 in the firmware file name
If you bought the unit in teh alst period "probablY" is dual tuner.
Try first SR30 firmware file with forced update.
Power off (by rear switch) the unit.
copy instal.img file into USB key formatted FAt32.
Connect the USB key with install.img to the mediabox
Press Home on the panel and then poweron by rear switch (don't release Home).
When the update procedure start can you realese Home button.

My unit is a single tuner one, i already updated it, last year. I didn't had any problems then. Now, after i tried to update it again, the problem occured. I tried the updates from the site of O2Media one by one, tille the problem would be solved. But it didn't. It's rebooting all the time. I only see the first screen of HD Media Player while trying to boot. After 15 Seconds it starts all over again.
By the way, i tried to update it with a forced update, that's the way as they explane it in the manual.
I Tried to install the update you gave and again it didn't work. Problem stays the same.

Try with adifferent USB key. Format the USB key in FAT32 as full format.
The problem that you reported is typcal when the firware is not recognized right for the hardware that are you using.

I just tried again, as you said and the problem stays the same. The installation has been completed and then he reboots and the problems stays the same. The display at the unit displays "hello" and it starts all over again. Isn't there another way to re-install the original software?
There two ways. One is the update via GUi. The other one is forced update.

Well, i tried the forced update several times, even with a FAT32 formated usb and it still stays the same. How does the other update works?
From System menu you can select Update.
But it works if the unit is stable (not like yours).
