Ti ringrazio molto. Scusami per l'eccessiva enfasi ma di solito il prompt è personalizzabile (in teoria si potrebbe farne uno diverso per ogni utente, ad esempio potresti creare l'utente bovirus e dargli un suo prompt diverso da quello di root). In questo firmware però essendo statico (cioè su flash-rom) la cosa ovviamente è problematica e occorre trovare una via comune. Purtroppo quando si lavora in questo campo e ci si abitua ad un certo standard si tende a vederlo sotto tutti gli aspetti dell'utilitÃ* ed una variazione che non si muova all'interno di questi standard solleva lì per lì delle reazioni di fastidio. Scusami perciò se ti sono sembrato troppo insistente (era anche molto tardi ieri sera).
In ogni caso onore al merito per aver fatto queste mod che sicuramente saranno utili a molti. Io per parte per mia per fare il backup mi trovo più comodo a lanciare un semplice comando di copia (facendo cp -R si può copiare l'intera struttura directory) . Anche perchè così so esattamente cosa sto fancendo e sono sicuro di copiare proprio tutto. E' solo questione di abitudine comunque.
Come giÃ* detto ieri era molto tardi, quando potrò proverò anche altre caratteristiche del firmware mod e ti farò sapere. Per ora mi sembrano molto utili gli script per lanciare i vari servizi e per monitorarli (status, start, stop).
Se poi ti viene qualche idea del perchè quando facevo il flash del nuovo firmware non prendesse la modifica da me fatta al file di profilo fammelo sapere. Mi interesserebbe poter personalizzare eventualmente il firmware all'occorrenza.

1) 3) Il problema come per altri media player non è il player ma le specifiche non corrette dei file MKV. Usa MKVToolNix per ripassare i file e vedrai che funzioneranno.

Se per mkvtoolnix intendi mkvmerge, il problema putroppo è lo stesso. Dopo aver passato I files con mkvmerge, il lettore è in grado di riprodurre solo l'audio su schermo nero, e nella finestrella d'anteprima video, dove ci dovrebbero essere le info (framerate, codec, etc.) non appare nulla. Purtroppo da qualche tempo a questa parte, la maggior parte dei mkv che cerco di riprodurre, l'hmr 600 non è in grado di leggerli (la parte video xlo-).

Sicuro che non sia un problema di firmware? Questa cosa mi sta rendendo il lettore praticamente inutilizzabile...

Credo che il firmware non centri per nulla ma siano responsabili i file MKV che stai usando.
Posta le info sul file (usa MediaInfo) per capire che caratteristiche hanno.

Ribadisco però, che mkv che vengono letti da tellori tipo vlc senza problemi, anche passati con mkmerge hanno questo problema...

Come indicato più volte in vari post, l'affidabilitÃ* di un filmato non può assolutamenete essere verificata con lettori multimediali da PC con codec interni (tipo VLC) in quanto VLC e soci utilizzano dei trucchi per la visione di file con problematiche audio/video e quindi se hai questo tipo di problemi nel file originale, VLC e soci li bypassano.
I Multilmedia player non hanno queste possibilitÃ* e riproducono file usando tecniche tradizionali e "apsettandosi" codec standard (non potrebbero fare altrimenti).
Le prove sul pc (per quello che valgono) andrebbero fatte con player senza gestioen di codec tipo il "Media Player" di Microsoft.
Mandami in PVT il link dove posso reperire il filmato.
La prossima volta usa MediaInfo. AVInaptic riporta le info in modo strano.

x Bovirus; hai per caso testato il file che ti ho segnalato tramite mp? Io nel frattempo continuo ad avere problemi con gli mkv, sono quasi più quelli che non mi legge, rispetto a quelli che riesce. Ma possibile che la o2 non rilasci degli aggiornamenti che permettano di leggere tutti i "nuovi codec"?...

Non centra nulla i nuuovi codec.
I codec devonoe ssere quelli standard e i fiel devono essere codificati correttamente.

Infatti i vari trailer sono standard e li riproduce (senza bisogno di aggiornamenti).
Un aggiornamento firmware non risolve se il file è fuori standard.
